Distance Education

Converse College is committed to providing the same excellent, unique qualities of its on-campus programs to serious and prepared students, regardless of geographic location. The Office of Distance Education provides program support, faculty support, online learner support, and ensures best practices in electronic teaching and learning are employed by the full-time and part-time teaching staff.

As a different mode of delivery, online programs and courses require different teaching strategies than those used in traditional face-to-face courses. The Office of Distance Education serves to bring training resources and information to faculty involved in online teaching. the Office also assists all learners with information about how to be successful in online learning environments.

The Office of Distance Education supports the development of online courses through faculty incentive programs, guided by best practice policies and procedures.
