Communications Staff Win 3 Awards from National Federation of Press Women
On June 22, 2024, communicators from throughout the United States were honored as the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW) announced the winners of its 2024 Professional Communications Contest. NFPW has been helping writers and professional communicators for more than 80 years.
Karen Rhodes, Assistant VP for Marketing and Communications, and Michelle Bowen, Associate Director of Marketing, won awards.
Nearly 2,000 entries were submitted in this year’s contest. “The NFPW professional communications contest puts a spotlight on outstanding entries from throughout the United States,” says Helen S. Plotkin, NFPW professional contest director. “Our judges continue to comment about the high quality of entries they judge in the contest. The entries showcase high quality and exceptional efforts.”
Michelle Bowen won 1st Place in the Advertising category for “2023 PSOM Performance Degree Ad.”
Karen Rhodes won 2nd Place in the category ‘Publication Regularly Edited by Entrant Newsletter/other publication – non-profit, government, or educational’ for “Converse Magazine Mailer, Fall 2023.”
Rhodes also won 2nd Place in the “Information for the Media: Single Release” category for “Converse Supports Students’ Most Critical Needs with Valkyrie Supply.”
